Three CCV students from Burlington’s spring ‘09 Social Problems (SOC-1030) class are organizing the upcoming “Pantry Party” that we told you about in last week's blog entry. This fundraiser is for a food pantry n the lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. The students helped rebuild the pantry in May as a part of the class’s service learning trip to Louisiana. All proceeds from the event will go toward bringing the food pantry up to code so the residents of this community can get the help they need. Here are some updated details regarding this great event:
