Mica DeAngelis, a CCV staff and faculty member, is currently in Fellsmere, Florida volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. In the image below, Mica and future homeowner, Adrianna Nunos, are nailing plywood onto a shed in the back of Adrianna's two bedroom home. In early March, Adrianna and her 18 month old toddler, Ethan, will move into the home Mica, her husband Barry, and 18 other volunteers are building.
Mica is also teaching Social Problems (SOC-1030) this semester which will bring students to the New Orleans area, where they will not only experience the culture and beauty of the city, but also learn about social problems there and provide 30 hours of hands-on community service. Space is still available in the course and if you'd like to learn more about it, visit http://www.ccv.edu/study_abroad.
