Boys & Girls Club and CCV help kids find jobs

CCV Burlington recently began a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington new Teen Employment Center at the University Mall in South Burlington. Staff members Ian Boyd, Katie Mobley, and Adam Warrington are helping the Boys and Girls Club to implement the center’s employment course where teens learn strategies for getting their first job, keeping that job, managing their money, and the importance of further education and career goals. At the end of this five week course, students receive a teen employment certificate from the Boys and Girls Club and CCV as well as $150 deposit in their very own savings account.

Recently, an article appeared in the Burlington Free Press regarding this new initiative. Click here to read the article.
